How account deletion works →Common questions
Is DoorYard available where I live?
Not everywhere yet. We open one neighborhood at a time, and an area only goes live once enough households nearby are signed up for an offer to be worth sending. If you create an account in an area that isn't live, we'll hold your spot and tell you when it opens. You can also email us your town and ZIP and we'll add it to the list.
How do I sign in? I don't have a password.
DoorYard doesn't use passwords. You enter your email address and we send you a link that signs you in. If the link doesn't arrive, check your spam folder for a message from login@dooryardapp.com, then write to us and we'll sort it out.
How do I stop getting text messages?
Reply STOP to any DoorYard text message and we'll stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help. You can also turn off any individual service category, or switch channels entirely, in your notification settings in the app. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
Why am I getting offers at all?
Only because you opted in to that specific service category, and only when a business is close enough to actually do the work in the window they're offering. Nothing reaches you outside 8:00 am to 9:00 pm in your own local time, on any channel. Every category can be switched off on its own, at any time, and it applies to the very next send.
Who gets my address?
Nobody, until you book. Offers are aimed at a neighborhood, so a business sending one doesn't know which houses received it. Your address is released to a business at the moment you accept their offer — because at that point they have to drive to it. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Something went wrong with a job.
Tell us. DoorYard is a venue that connects households with independent local service providers — each one is its own business, not our employee — but we take disputes seriously, we review them, and a business's record on DoorYard is built out of how those jobs actually went. Email support@dooryardapp.com with the date and the business's name and we'll pick it up from there.
I run a service business. How does billing work?
You are charged on work that is actually booked, plus whichever plan you chose. There is no charge for a lead, an impression, or a phone number. Your plan, the fee on each accepted job, and what your next invoice will settle are all visible in the app before anything is billed.
